What are editorial backlinks?
The strongest links on the web are given, not placed. When a writer researching an article cites your data, or an editor links to your guide as the reference for a claim, that link exists because someone editorially decided it should — and everything about it (the context, the anchor, the host) reflects that decision. These are editorial links, and they’re the category search systems are built to reward.
Editorial backlinks is our earned-link service. Unlike placement services (guest posts, niche edits) where the link position is arranged, here the process runs the other way: we build or sharpen something on your site genuinely worth citing — original research, definitive guides, free tools, data, expert content — then make it visible to the people who write about your topic, and let editorial judgement do the linking. Pitches go to writers and editors; some citations follow; the resulting links are indistinguishable from your best organic ones, because they are organic.
This is the slowest, least predictable service we sell, and the most durable. Editorial links arrive at the pace of other people’s publishing schedules, can’t be guaranteed per-outlet, and depend on the strength of the asset we build together. What you get in exchange is the link type that compounds: good citations attract more citations, and no algorithm update targets content that earned its links. Our link value guide explains the editorial standard in full.
