What the Find and Replace does
The find and replace tool swaps every occurrence of one string for another across a block of text, with options for case-sensitive and whole-word matching.
How it works
The tool scans your text for the search term and replaces each match with your replacement. Case-sensitive mode matches the exact capitalisation; whole-word mode only replaces standalone words so you do not accidentally change part of a longer word.
It is ideal for fixing a product name across a draft, updating a brand term, or swapping a placeholder for a real value throughout a document.
How to use the Find and Replace

Find and Replace questions
It only replaces the search term when it appears as a complete word, so replacing “cat” will not change “category”.
Only if you enable case-sensitive mode. Otherwise the tool matches regardless of capitalisation.
Keep a copy of your original text before replacing, or simply paste it again, since the tool does not store history.
This version performs literal text replacement. For pattern matching, use a dedicated regex tool.
