Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: [Effective Date]. Please read this policy carefully.
Purpose of This Policy
Important: This policy is a template prepared for AuthorityLinks and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer in [Jurisdiction] before publication. Bracketed items such as [Company Legal Name] must be completed with accurate details.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what customers may and may not promote through services provided by [Company Legal Name] ("AuthorityLinks"). It protects our publishers, our customers and the public, and it forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
Prohibited Content and Websites
We will not accept orders that link to, promote or contain:
- Illegal products or services in the target market, including illegal drugs, weapons trafficking, counterfeit goods and stolen data.
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors.
- Content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, hate or harassment against people based on protected characteristics.
- Malware, phishing, hacking services, spyware or deceptive downloads.
- Scams, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, fake investment returns, or unlicensed financial services.
- Fake documents, essay or exam cheating services, or fake reviews.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property.
- Defamatory content or private information about individuals published without consent.
- Unsubstantiated medical claims, such as claims that a product cures serious diseases.
Restricted Niches
Some niches are legal in certain places but heavily regulated. We may accept them only with additional checks, and publisher availability is limited. Restricted niches include:
- Casino, sports betting and other gambling.
- CBD, hemp and cannabis-related products.
- Adult content for adult audiences.
- Cryptocurrency, trading, forex and other high-risk financial products.
- Health, pharmacy, supplements and medical services.
- Legal services, loans and debt products.
- Alcohol, tobacco and vaping products.
Compliance Requirements for Restricted Niches
If you order in a restricted niche, you confirm that your business holds every license required in the markets it targets, that your website follows local advertising and age-restriction rules, and that content will include any disclosures or responsible-use messaging required by law, such as responsible gambling notices.
We may ask for proof of licensing, limit placements to publishers and countries where the niche is permitted, or decline orders at our discretion. Local laws vary significantly, and you remain responsible for compliance where you operate.
Content Standards
All content must be accurate, original and not misleading. We do not accept spun, auto-generated content published without human review, or content that is keyword-stuffed. Anchor text should read naturally. Publishers keep final editorial control and may decline content that does not meet their standards.
Misuse of Our Platform
You must not use our website or services to attempt unauthorized access to systems, interfere with the site's operation, scrape data at scale, resell publisher lists without permission, contact our publishers directly to bypass orders placed through us where prohibited by your agreement, or make fraudulent payments.
Enforcement
If we believe an order or account breaches this AUP, we may decline or cancel the order, request removal of published content, suspend or close the account, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Where an order is cancelled for an AUP breach discovered before work begins, we will refund it. Refunds are not available where work was completed and the breach was caused by information you provided.
Reporting and Contact
To report content that may breach this policy, email [Abuse Email] with the relevant URLs. We may update this AUP at any time. Effective date: [Effective Date].
