Payment Policy
Last updated: [Effective Date]. Please read this policy carefully.
Overview
Important: This policy is a template prepared for AuthorityLinks and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer in [Jurisdiction] before publication. Bracketed items such as [Company Legal Name] must be completed with accurate details.
This Payment Policy explains how customers pay for services ordered from [Company Legal Name] ("AuthorityLinks") at https://authoritylinks.net, including currencies, accepted payment methods, invoicing and security.
Currency and Pricing
Our default currency is the US dollar (USD), and all prices are set in USD. For convenience, you may switch the display currency to euros (EUR) or British pounds (GBP). Converted prices are estimates based on exchange rates that are updated periodically.
The currency and amount you will actually be charged are shown clearly at checkout before you pay. If your card or account is in a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate and fees, which are outside our control.
Accepted Payment Methods
We currently accept the following payment methods, subject to availability in your country:
- PayPal, including payment with a PayPal balance or linked cards.
- Major credit and debit cards processed through [Card Processor, for example Stripe].
- Bank transfer or wire for invoiced and larger orders, by arrangement.
- [Other Payment Methods, if any].
Payment Security and Card Data
Payments are processed by third-party providers that are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Card details are entered into the provider's secure fields or pages and go directly to the provider. AuthorityLinks does not store full card numbers or security codes on its website or servers.
We receive limited information from providers, such as a transaction ID, payment status and, in some cases, the card brand and last four digits, to manage orders and refunds.
When Payment Is Taken
Payment is due in full when you place an order unless we agree otherwise in writing. Work begins once payment is confirmed. For invoiced orders, work begins when the invoice is paid or as stated in the agreement. Recurring plans such as monthly link building are billed in advance at the start of each billing period until cancelled.
Invoices, Receipts and Taxes
An order confirmation and receipt are sent by email and are available in your account. If you need an invoice with your company name, address or VAT number, add these details at checkout or in your account before ordering.
Prices may exclude applicable taxes such as VAT or sales tax. Any tax due is calculated and shown at checkout based on your location and business status. [Tax treatment details to be confirmed with an accountant for [Jurisdiction].]
Failed, Declined or Disputed Payments
If a payment fails or is reversed, your order will be paused until payment is completed. For recurring plans, we may retry the payment and notify you by email. If a dispute or chargeback is raised, we may suspend the related account while the matter is reviewed. Please contact [Support Email] first so we can help resolve any billing issue.
Account Credit and Refunds
Account credit, where offered, can be used toward future orders. Refunds are returned to the original payment method in the original charge currency, as described in our Refund Policy.
