Replacement Policy
Last updated: [Effective Date]. Please read this policy carefully.
Purpose of This Replacement Policy
Important: This policy is a template prepared for AuthorityLinks and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer in [Jurisdiction] before publication. Bracketed items such as [Company Legal Name] must be completed with accurate details.
This Replacement Policy explains what happens if a link delivered by AuthorityLinks, operated by [Company Legal Name], is removed, changed or made inaccessible after publication. Links are placed on independently owned third-party websites, so we cannot control every publisher action. This policy sets out how we respond when that happens.
What the Replacement Guarantee Covers
During the replacement period shown on the product page or in your order confirmation, we will try to restore or replace a delivered link if any of the following occurs:
- The article or page containing your link is deleted or returns an error.
- Your link is removed from the published content.
- The link attribute is changed from what was ordered, for example from dofollow to nofollow, where a dofollow link was specifically sold.
- The publisher's website goes offline for an extended period of [Number] days or more.
- The page is set to noindex or blocked from search engines after delivery, where indexability was part of the order.
Replacement Period
The replacement period is [Replacement Period, for example 6 or 12 months] from the delivery date unless a different period is stated on the specific product page. Some services, such as press release distribution and certain news publications, may have shorter periods or none at all because syndicated pages are often archived by the outlets themselves. The applicable period is always shown before purchase.
What Is Not Covered
The replacement guarantee does not apply when:
- You changed, redirected or deleted the target URL, or your website became unavailable.
- You asked the publisher or us to change or remove the link or content.
- The link was removed because your website or content later breached the publisher's policies or our Acceptable Use Policy.
- A third-party metric such as DA, DR, traffic or spam score changed. Metrics are estimates from third-party tools and fluctuate.
- Search engines changed how they crawl, index or value the page.
- The replacement period has ended.
How Replacements Work
When a valid issue is reported, we first contact the publisher to restore the link. If restoration is not possible within a reasonable time, we offer a replacement on a website of similar relevance and comparable quality, based on metrics at the time of replacement. You can review the proposed site before we proceed.
If no suitable replacement is available, we may offer account credit or a partial refund for the affected item under our Refund Policy. A replacement link carries the remainder of the original replacement period, not a new period.
How to Report a Removed or Changed Link
Report issues through your account dashboard or by email to [Support Email]. Include your order number, the live URL where the link was placed and a short description of the problem. Screenshots help us act faster.
Our Monitoring
Where monitoring is included in your service, we periodically check delivered links. Monitoring is a best-effort service and does not replace your own checks. We recommend reviewing your links regularly with your preferred SEO tool.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. The version in effect when you placed your order applies to that order. Effective date: [Effective Date]. Contact: [Support Email], [Company Legal Name], [Registered Address].
